Graeme Herring is a Patent Advisor and Engineer. His practice focuses on the acquisition, protection and exploitation of Canadian, US and international patent rights in a wide range of technology subject areas from mechanical, chemical and electrical technology to computer software.
Graeme received his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geological and Environmental Engineering from the University of British Columbia. Prior to attending the University of British Columbia, Graeme studied mechanical engineering at McGill University in Montréal. Graeme was awarded the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia award for the highest results in his graduating engineering class.
Prior to joining IProperty, Graeme worked as a Patent Specialist for a multinational enterprise software company developing computer software related intellectual property assets. Graeme also worked for several years as the Intellectual Property Manager for a technology commercialization company in the clean energy and chemical/mechanical technology space developing and managing patent, trademark and trade secret intellectual property and related commercial agreements. Graeme applies this extensive in-house intellectual property experience to counselling clients as a Patent Advisor.
